Holistic Massage Diploma
The Diploma in Holistic Massage is an intensive course spanning a whole year. It comprises 10 weekends of tuition, one weekend a month, full days on Saturday and Sunday (20 days) + assignments. This amounts to 200 hours of guided learning. Over the year the student has to complete 100 hours of practical massage work, logged and submitted for internal review and to be available for the external examiner. It is recommended that candidates undertake up to a maximum of 5 hours per week (totalling about 180 -200 hours) of additional home study and revision.
At the end of the course, the student will take exams in Anatomy and Physiology, Practical Massage and Professional Conduct and Business Awareness. 5 case studies of 4 treatments each of a full body massage have to be submitted for internal review and presentation to the external examiner. There are several relevant internal tests and homework assignments that also have to be completed in order to qualify to enter the examinations. The final examinations are marked by external examiners and together with the internal modules complete the accreditation for the Diploma
The course will be internationally accredited with ITEC (the International Therapy Examinations Council). Please view their website www.itecworld.co.uk for comprehensive information on the course. The certificate gained will enable the qualified Practitioner to work in their own practice, in spas and wellness centres and overseas.
Your tutors at Positive Health are qualified teachers and are trained in Accelerated Learning methods. They are also qualified massage practitioners who have been working in their respective disciplines for many years.
